A friendship-first community
Lesbian friendship groups built for real connection.
Finding a group is one thing. Finding women you genuinely connect with is another.
A good friendship group gives you opportunities to find women you have something in common with, see familiar faces again and get to know each other over time.
Find. Connect. Grow.

01
Being in the same group is only the beginning
Finding a group for lesbian and bisexual women can create an important starting point. You already know there’s something significant you share.
But being part of the same group doesn’t automatically mean you’ll find women you enjoy being around or have enough opportunity to get to know them.
A good conversation might happen once. You might recognise someone you’d like to talk to again. You may discover you have far more in common than you first realised.
What matters then is whether there’s a natural reason to meet or talk again.
That might come from seeing the same women regularly, discovering shared interests, doing things together or simply having another reason to start a conversation.
The right structure makes friendship easier
A friendship group can introduce women to one another. What happens next depends partly on whether the group creates natural opportunities for them to keep getting to know each other.
Three things can make a real difference.
01
Reasons to return
Friendship becomes more possible when you don’t have to make everything happen in one meeting.
Regular conversations, activities and gatherings give you the chance to see familiar women again, pick up where you left off and gradually become part of one another’s lives.
02
Genuine common ground
Being lesbian or bisexual gives women an important shared foundation. The friendships themselves may grow through everything else you discover you have in common.
Books. Walking. Music. Food. Creativity. Travel. Places you both know. Experiences you share. Things you’re curious about.
Common ground gives conversation somewhere natural to begin and often provides a reason to do something together again.
03
Opportunities to reconnect
A promising conversation shouldn’t have to depend entirely on chance.
When women have different ways to reconnect through conversation, shared interests, activities and regular gatherings, there is more opportunity to discover who they enjoy spending time with.
When you’re considering a friendship group, don’t only ask who is there. Ask whether it gives you reasons to return, discover what you have in common and get to know the same women over time.

How Sapphic Sphere™ is designed to help connections develop
Sapphic Sphere is being created as a private community for adult lesbian and bisexual women, built around common ground, reasons to return and different ways to spend time together.
The Centre will provide a continuing home for wider community conversations. It will be somewhere to take part, recognise familiar women and return to conversations over time.
Member-created Interest Circles will give women ways to connect through the things they genuinely enjoy, from books and walking to music, food, creativity, travel and the interests women themselves bring into the community.
The private Member Map will make it easier to discover lesbian and bisexual women within a manageable distance. Regular gatherings and shared experiences will create more opportunities to spend time together.
None of that guarantees friendship. It creates more ways for women to find common ground, meet again and discover whose company they enjoy.
Sapphic Sphere is selective, private and friendship-first. It is not a dating or matchmaking platform and is currently in its pre-launch stage.
04
Choose a group that fits what you’re looking for
The structure of a friendship group matters, but so does whether it feels right for you.
Think about the kind of connection you actually want. You might be looking for women nearby to meet for coffee or walks, people who share particular interests, thoughtful online conversation, a wider social circle or friendships that have the potential to become closer over time.
It’s also worth looking at how the community is run. Are its purpose and expectations clear? Does it explain how privacy is approached and what behaviour is expected from members? Do you understand what will happen if someone behaves inappropriately?
You don’t need every connection to become a close friendship. You need a community that gives you realistic ways to discover the women you enjoy being around and enough opportunity to get to know them.
Member numbers only tell you so much. Look at the group’s purpose, how it works and whether it gives people realistic opportunities to get to know one another.

A shared foundation
For adult lesbian and bisexual women.
Being lesbian or bisexual gives women in Sapphic Sphere an important point of connection. It offers a shared understanding without having to explain that part of who you are before getting to know someone.
Shared identity doesn’t have to carry the whole friendship.
Connections may grow through everything else women discover they have in common: the things they enjoy, places they know, experiences they share, conversations they keep returning to and simply enjoying one another’s company.
The shared foundation brings women together. Everything else gives them reasons to discover one another.
